Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced plans to address challenges faced by journalists and media organizations in the province. A press release issued on April 27 detailed the outcomes of a meeting of the Sindh Information Department, chaired by the information minister.
Memon outlined the Sindh government’s commitment to improve the situation for journalists and media organizations. He highlighted the importance of resolving the challenges encountered by these organizations, including financial issues. Memon further emphasized the need for prioritized solutions for both print and electronic media.

To ensure comprehensive solutions, Memon called for the inclusion of representatives from all major media organizations, including the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA), All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS), and Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE), to identify and address their specific concerns.

Memon stressed the importance of establishing social media accounts for all government departments to facilitate easier and quicker access to information for the public.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Sindh Information Department, including Secretary Information Nadeem Ur Rehman Memon, Director General (DG) Information Saleem Khan, and directors from various departments such as Admin, Advertising, Press, Electronic Media, Publication, Films, and Social Media. This suggests that the Sindh government is approaching the issue comprehensively by involving representatives from various departments who can address the specific needs of media organizations.
